dad and the melcheznic preisthood

my dad has been bugged and bugged about get his melcheznic presthood. Her has his aaronic preisthood already. i think hes ready but says hes a terrible guy and dont want it. what sould i do

hello...my advice for you is that...give your dad some ensights about the deff. between aaronic priesthood and melchizedeck.... the ordinance that he can perform and the blessings and power on it.... explain that Jesus himself have the MP......fofr example, the priesthood blessing for the sick.

He may be afraid of the responsibility of the greater priesthood. Also, please consider that he may have something going on, or some past issue that would keep him from being worthy at the moment. The more you push him, the more it may hurt his heart. Give him his privacy and instead, pray for his heart to be softened to the idea and strengthened to do whatever may be necessary. Mostly, just love him and let him know that not having the priesthood doesn't make you love him any less.

I say that the Melchizedek Priesthood is very import to us. For you should ask in our father in heaven. I relay thing that our heavenly father would help you. You father would now when that time comes when he should get the Melchizedek Priesthood. For if he not ready then be patient and let our lord help him be ready. Pray unto him for he can do many Maricela. I think you know what I mean though. Also Rodgemp is right too. Teach him more about what the Melchizedek Priesthood do. But this for you to decide and not us because you are strong to know what to do. Do the best as you can do for our heavenly father will be pleased with what you are doing.
