Hi Joe,

My name is Julius Robles and I'm also a member of the HP. I'm presently serving in the stake high council and at the same time (by special assignment) a second counselor in the Bishopric in one of the wards in our stake. I'm from the Philippines. We have a lot of challenges in the ward where I am called to serve as many members do not take seriously their commitment in the church. It's been 4 months now since we came here and up to now I personally feel that some of the priesthood holders here are not responsive to our call to strengthen the ward. Well I know it will take sometime before we can see any improvement as four months is too early to tell if people here will really respond to changes we have been implementing since we got here. I live an hour away from this place and from my original ward where my home belong and it's not easy for me to be traveling that long every Sunday just to attend to my meetings in the other ward.

There's just a lot of things to do here and after 4 months it feels like we haven't barely scratch the surface of the problems here. We're back to square 1.

By the way, the Church here in the Philippines are also mourning on the passing away of Elder James E. Faust.

It was so nice to hear from a fellow HP and mylds memeber. Have you read my mormonblog2 blog? I think it is so good to share my testimony with the world and to tell how the lord has blessed me in my cancer recovery and recovery from a very traumatic brain injury.
Regards
Your brother in the gospel
Joe
By the way my sister Norma Dell Beals & My brother in-law Kenneth Beals served a mission in the Philipines before his death
