Dating for 30+
May 1 2011, 12:54 AM EDT
So, I'm a divorced, 31 year old, woman. I've been divorced going on 5 years now and feel the pressure to remarry. Not that I don't want to, I really do. BUT men my age in the church do not ask me out. I've been on an LDS dating site for years and the ONLY men that show interest are foreign, African-American, or Latino. While I am not racist, I would like to know why white men show absolutely NO interest in me whatsoever. It's frustrating. I just don't get it. I'm pretty, a little overweight, but I can't help that, it's something I've struggled with my whole, post-pubescent life. I want to know if that is specifically why white men are not interested in me. It's very frustrating to hear the prophets tell us we should marry and "replenish the earth" but I don't get asked out on dates. Is it my weight, the fact that I'm divorced, or that I'm getting an education? I want to know. Also, I have made mistakes in my life, but have come back to the gospel full force and am living my life in a manner to be worthy of any priesthood holder. I just don't know what to do anymore! I'm FLUSTERED! 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?
